Health and Wealth: Have Both!

China is one of the richest countries in the world.

If you don’t believe me, do a Google search, or do what I did and run over to “Top Documentary Films” where you will find multiple half hour docs exposing the wealth in some of the thriving cities of China.

How does this relate to health?

A young woman in this documentary was asked what was most important in life. She said something along the lines of:

“The health of my family, and being rich.”

She was then asked which of the two is more important:

“Health. If you are healthy, you can focus on making money.”

This isn’t a direct quote, but expressed in my rendition is the value of health in the eyes of a young Chinese woman who is surrounded by the effects of a thriving economy, and dedicating her life to going to University and learning so that she can get rich and enjoy them.

Do not sacrifice health for wealth. You can have both.

My daddy told me “work to live, don’t live to work.”

If your living is hampered by a disease or illness (most abundant of which are stress related) then you most certainly won’t fully enjoy the fruits your labour.

If you do not love the work you do, you will not be: healthy because of stress and related illnesses, happy because every day you will be resisting your work and therefore you life, wealthy because you won’t have the same drive, and you won’t be able to benefit from any wealth you do have because you will not be in the right mindset, or state of health to fully enjoy it!

Find something that you love doing, and work hard at it.

Working hard doesn’t have to suck; when you love what you’re doing, you’ll be satisfied at the end of the day and you will reap the benefits!
